Shivva II Class Colonial Patrol Corvette

In the past, the Shivva class (Tl:13) Patrol Corvette was a common sight along the frontiers of the Consulate. Since the Fifth Frontier War, the class has been revised due to the heavy losses experienced. Following the Naval review of 1112, it was revised to improve TL 13 standards. The Shivva II class was produced. The class was first produced in 1113, and a Patrol Corvette was re-designated due to its functionality, size, and capability. Many original Shivvas have been refitted and upgraded to the Shivva II specifications. The Shivva is still encountered in the backwater areas of the Consulate and client states. The Shivva II is now the predominant class of military patrol vessels found regulating and protecting commerce in the surrounding area.

• Fighters- The Fighter Section comprises Four 10–ton Chanjitl-light fighters. The Pilots are housed in a capsule-like cockpit that transports the pilot via a tubular accessway to the awaiting fighter frame, where the cockpit capsule integrates with the frame and is launched for operations. The pilot is recovered the same way but in reverse. Much of the Maintenance is performed by the Engineer droids during EVAs in the fighter housings underneath the ship.
• Launch- The Ships launch is a 30-ton boat that handles many re-supply and boarding operations.
  Crew
• Command Section- The command section consists of a Ship’s Captain (Lieutenant Commander), an Executive Officer (Lieutenant), a Communications/Electronic Warfare Officer (Lieutenant Junior Grade), and a Naval Intelligence Officer (Lieutenant Junior Grade-telepath).
• Engineering: The engineering division is led by a Chief Engineer (Lieutenant), assisted by the MPA (Warrant Officer). On board, four Engineering Petty Officers perform maintenance and repairs for the ship’s drives and help with damage control efforts. The section is supplemented by four engineering droids that assist in performing PMS tasks and EVAs for repairs.
• Gunnery The gunnery division is led by a Master Gunner (Warrant Officer), and he has five very well-trained Gunnery petty officers at his command that man the ship’s weaponry.
• Flight Section- The Flight Section is led by a Lieutenant, who leads four other pilot-officers who rotate manning the four fighters and the ship’s boat. At battle stations, the remaining pilot officer is on the bridge, serving as a telepathic director to the fighters.
• Medical Department- An Independent Duty Corpsman is the attending medical specialist for the Corvette. A medical droid assists him.
• Services Department- The Services Department is headed by a senior petty officer who acts as storeskeeper, mess specialist, and the ship’s clerk. The Service Specialist is assisted by a mess droid and an administrative droid.
• ZNSLF Squad- The Zhodani Naval Special Landing Force Squad Consists of a Sergeant commanding Two fire teams led by Corporals containing a Fusion Gunner, Rifleman, and Grenadier. The squad is tasked with boarding and landing operations, supporting the regular patrol duties. At battle stations, they are used as ship’s troops and assist With damage control efforts. They are usually equipped with combat armor, laser carbines, gauss weapons, or, in the case of the Fusion Gunner, an FGMP-14.

The Shivva II Class Colonial Patrol Corvette is a TL-13 600 ton cone hull starship with a jump drive-3, a maneuver drive-4, and a power plant-7 producing 42 energy points. It is capable of Agility-4.

Fuel tankage is 222 tons. It is equipped with fuel scoops and a purification plant.

A Model 7 computer is installed along with a bridge.

Weaponry consists of 2 batteries of 1 triple missile turret, 1 battery of 1 triple sand caster turret, 3 batteries of 1 dual beam laser turret.

No defenses are installed.

Carried craft includes 4 Chidtl Class Zhodani Light Fighter s, 1 Zho Ships boat Class .

There is no provision for ship’s vehicles.

There is a crew of 20 total, in 1 section of 20 crew. Ship’s troops consist of 10 troopers.
